Hey mamas,

I’m so glad you’re here. I meant to write this a week ago, but that was actually 1000 years ago. A sickness, Spring Break, an accidental bathroom renovation and 50 iced lattes later, I’m writing to you all from “the other side”. I know you know what I mean, MOMS. So, let’s take a minute and get into it!

I’m thrilled you’re looking for a writing group, specifically a writing group of MOMS. LA Writer-Moms Regional Chapter of Scribente Maternum is entering the chat.

What to expect from this community:

• Regular in-person meetups — basically meetups at a bar, restaurant, or coffeeshop to chat, commiserate, laugh about, and connect around parenting and writing.

• In-person writing meetups — opportunities to gather in person to get your butt in the seat and write surrounded by other writer-moms.

• Special workshops and panel discussions — we’ll be offering a variety of special workshops facilitated by local writers in our community. Please reach out if you are one of those writers!

• Resource-sharing and community-building — this will be a space to post events you’re going to, events you’re excited about, and questions you’re

Joining this group will help bring the virtual offerings we have through Scribente Maternum to the real world.

We’re currently in the pilot period where joining a chapter is free. But in the next few months, chapter involvement could be a benefit for paid subscribers. In the meantime, though, we’re excited to start getting to know each other IRL. I cannot wait to be in community with you all.
