Welcome to the DC-area chapter of Scribente Maternum!

Join us at our inaugural event October 5, 2024!

We are excited for the first DMV-area Scribente Maternum chapter event.

Please join us on Saturday, October 5, 2:00-3:30 pm at Arlington Central Library for a Write Like a Mother reading and conversation.

Readers include Tyrese Coleman, Hannah Grieco, Jessica Claire Haney, Kate Lewis, Chloe Yelena Miller and V Efua Prince.

Feel free to arrive at 1:45 for casual conversation & connection and some light refreshments.

At 2:00, we'll start our reading with local moms sharing fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction and then move into a conversation about writing while parenting.

Celebrate the work of writer moms! And share what kind of community activities you might be interested in: writing groups, more events like this, etc.

We'll wrap the program at 3:30 but have the room until 4:00. Stick around to continue sharing and networking!

This event is free and open to the public. Please share with your friends!
